More Reflections on Funerals and Death.
by Chris Kamalski
Sorry for the heavy titles and posts lately.
More friends from our community are weighing in on yesterday’s experience out in Soshanguve.
I love Adrienne’s narrative account of what we saw and experienced. I was one of those “strong young men” (:-)). Girl can write!
Don’t know if you’re listening to Bell’s podcasts, but he’s preaching from Lamentations – interesting commentary on America’s inability to confront experiences like death. Also made me think of you when you were into the book after Annie. I imagine you may find some kinship with his words.
I knew Mars Hill was working through Lamentations for Lent, which is so powerful. I’ve listened to his first sermon, but am behind in the series so far. Almost too powerful to take in–did you hear his unpacking of ‘dirt on my shoulder’ as a meditation on grief that was dismissed and not processed?
POWERFUL.
Agreed-Lamentations remains my favorite book of Scripture
